When I was attending classes at NOVA, I met an delightful and helpful woman, who was a scientific illustrator. Her husband was an entomologist at the Smithsonian. She wanted me to pursue a career as a scientific illustrator and gave me names and contact information with scientists in the Natural History Museum.
One scientist gave me this beetle and a moth to draw for examples.
It was an incredible experience to visit with these scientists. A time I will always remember with great pleasure. Thank you, Elsie. :)
